Introduction to SD11
Designing the Sustainable Future for Everyone

Since 2019, Sustainable Design 11 (SD11) has been committed to making a difference in the lives of youths and communities throughout Cambodia. SD11 is inspired by "Sustainable Design for the Global Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities". Our mission at SD11 is to empower young people to make real progress in their communities and to build a sustainable future for themselves and others. We believe that young people have the potential to make a real impact in the world, and we are dedicated to providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. Our programs and activities are designed to educate and inspire our members, while also connecting them with like-minded individuals who share their passions and goals. We work on four thematic tracks including Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Change and Environmental Education, Sustainable Lifestyle, and Youth Participation in Community Development.

What We Offer

Youth Participation in Urban and Rural Development

Educational Workshops

Through our workshops, SD11 helps Cambodian youths to attain their fullest potential.  We provide a variety of sessions to young people in order for them to get engaged in the community and meet new and exciting faces in both digital and face-to-face settings. Our flagship workshops, which we now provide throughout the year, are as follows:

1. Sustainable Design Academy (SDA)

2. Xploratory Lab

3. Young Cities and Communities Leadership Annual Workshop (YCCLAW)

In SDA, we provide workshops about sustainable building and urban development to Cambodian youths as a series which has three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and advanced. For Xploratory Lab, this workshop is designed to open for any topics related to our thematic tracks, including any external collaboration. Lastly, YCCLAW is our biggest annual event to showcase all the impacts and results from the implementation of the Young Cities and Communities Leadership Program and other initiatives that our community members have done for the entire year.

The topics of these visits are:

1. Future Climate Heroes Educational Campaign at Preah Reach Samphea High School, Kampot, Cambodia in 2022
